Data ownership
What SaaSFO holds, counted live — export everything as JSON, or delete the workspace with a typed confirmation.
Data ownership (Settings → Data ownership) is the "leave with everything" page. Your portfolio is yours: the page shows a live inventory of exactly what SaaSFO holds (counts computed right now, not marketing copy), a one-click full export, and a self-serve delete.
What SaaSFO holds
Seven categories, counted live — products, investor packages, client portals, stakeholders & contacts, decision log entries, expense ledger lines, and measured revenue days — and every one of them is included in the JSON export (backup v2): products, playbook, scores, experiments, risks, decisions, notes, tasks, connections, resources, investor packages
- artifacts, portals + packs, contacts, the expense ledger, measured days, research reports (saved documents), PRDs, integration selections, and feed connections. Restoring preserves ids, so portal links and feed ingest URLs keep working after a comeback.
Export everything
One click downloads the portfolio as JSON — the same backup format the restore validates. Do this before any big experiment or migration, and always before deleting — see the coverage note above for what travels.
Coming back later
Deleting a workspace does not delete your user account:
- You exported first? Create a fresh workspace and import the backup right on this page (the import card below) — the full portfolio returns, ids preserved.
- Within the 90-day grace window, the workspace itself still exists (blocked, not purged) — support (the platform admin) can restore it.
- After 90 days the data is hard-purged; your export is the only copy of what it covered.
Delete the workspace
Typing the workspace name confirms the delete:
- The workspace is blocked immediately — sign-in and API access stop.
- A retention sweep hard-purges after the grace window.
- You are signed out on confirmation.
The same path the admin deletion flow uses, so semantics are identical. This page is deliberately isolated — destructive actions never sit beside configuration.
Best practices
- Export first, always. The JSON backup is the only undo that exists.
- Restore lives here too — the import card on this page restores a backup into the current workspace (validated first, replace-mode).
- Deleting a workspace does not delete your user account — you can create a fresh workspace afterward.
