Screenshots (shot contract + remaining work)
The mechanical shot contract used by scripts/docs-shots.ts, plus the shots that remain open. Delete this page once the live-data-feeds shots land.
This page is a maintainer placeholder — it is intentionally not in the
sidebar nav. The October 2026 retake pass landed 10/27 (commits 8afd741,
925d22b): every shot in the retake table was re-taken by
scripts/docs-shots.ts in the redesigned dark theme (plus the three
manual-gap wizard/overdue shots), and the dashboard.mdx / overview.mdx /
live-data-feeds.mdx placeholders were resolved. What remains is tracked
below. The shot contract stays as the canonical mechanism for future retakes.
The shot contract (keep every shot mechanical)
- Theme: dark (the app default).
- Viewport: 1440×900 at 100% browser zoom, desktop sidebar expanded.
- Workspace: the same demo workspace and seeded products as the priors, so numbers stay roughly consistent shot to shot.
- State: notifications dismissed (empty bell), no banners, assistant
dock closed (except the dock shot), no drawer open. Cookie consent is
granted in the shot contract (
cookie-consent: granted), and the consent UI itself lives inline in the marketing footer (variant="footer", founder 10/27) — never as a fixed overlay over any page. - Crops: prefer a full-width crop of the surface, not the whole browser window — tighter shots age slower.
scripts/docs-shots.ts implements this contract (sign-in, forced dark theme,
1440×900 @2×, --only <name> / --list / --mobile flags); its SHOTS
table is the runnable version of the shot list.
Remaining work
- Two live-data-feeds shots, deferred —
feeds-first-report.png(the quick-start moment: just-created feed + first charted snapshot on the Report tab) andfeeds-ingest-rejected.png(a rejected event row with its 400 reason next to an accepted one in the ingest history). Both need at least one real post-launch feed day of data (the dev seed has none), so the 📷 placeholders were removed from live-data-feeds.mdx on 10/27 — the copy stands on its own image-free. When the shots are taken, add the images back at "3. Watch it land" and after "The payload, field by field", register them in theSHOTStable, then delete this page. - Optional mobile shot (
product-overview-mobile, 390×844) — the script has a--mobileflag for it; low priority, desktop shots carry the docs. - Wizard/overdue manual gaps —
add-product-wizard.png,wizard-in-flight.png, andproduct-overview-overdue.pngwere shot manually on 10/27 (the wizard needs real clicks the script can't fake cleanly; overdue needs a date-set seed product). If they ever need retakes, script them with per-shot setup steps first.

Orphans — deleted 10/27
feeds-overview.png, feeds-analytics-failure.png, web-economics.png
were referenced nowhere and showed the pre-retake theme; deleted. If any page
needs them again, add a SHOTS entry to scripts/docs-shots.ts and re-shoot.
